I want a vertical garden TOO!
Focusing primarily on architectural visualisation, we’re lucky enough to be part of great designers’ even greater ideas. I’ve seen interior gardens, gardens on the roof and even integrated in low walls – but these living walls are something I want to see more of.
Whether you believe in the green revolution or not – this is cool! Perhaps I’m just a little slow getting to the finishing line, but eccentric French botanist, Patrick Blanc (said creator of the vertical garden) has me fascinated. It seems not everyone can pull off a living wall as artistically as he can.
So now, do we say goodbye to the typical ‘concrete jungles’ of the world? And hello, hanging gardens of Babylon? With skyscraper farming? Yes, yes, everything in moderation, but some of the work is really amazing.
There is also a book showcasing his works available. We buy so many books are architecture and design – always a more realistic look and inspiration to work towards, I guess.
