Visiting industry forums, admiring the portfolios of the 3D industries leaders – where do you find your inspiration? I might have touched on this topic before, when I mentioned how often art and design books are on our shopping list.
When designing a building – a modern building – what sparks that initial concept sketch? The world around us? Here are my observations.
Henning Larsen Architects from Denmark won a competition for a new aquarium. Read more on this project on their site; but below are elements from the project and the ideas seem clear for this iconic and fitting structure.
This leaves me wondering where else we could notice the obvious clues in the designs around us. There’s word that TVS‘ concept for these Dubai towers at The Lagoons, was to emulate candlelight.
As for Modelina’s wind turbine skyscraper idea below,Vincent from Alternative Energy Mutual Funds points out how it resembles the roots of a tree.
